When I decided to quit my corporate 9-5 with the phone company to pursue a lifelong dream to be a cosmetologist, I wanted to do more than just hair. I feel that a person can change their hairstyle but sometimes people need more and that's what I want to do. I created a title for myself and that is Image Transformation Specialist.
What is that you ask? Well I l suppose there is a simillar job with a different title, Personal Stylist comes to mind but personal stylist primarily would tell you what clothes to wear. They generally don't have a license to do hair or any other license. I like to think that a persons image is holistic and begins with a Hairstyle that goes with the rest of the package. I sit down with my clients in a consultation and find out about who they are and the image they want to portray and together we decide what changes need to be made. not everyone who sits in my chair for hair services wants a total transformation from head to toe but I make sure that they know what is available to them. If all they want is a hair service I transform that part of them.
In my small circle I am known to have great personal style and I view that as a talent that I want to share with those who may be a little challenged in the area of creating a personal style that grabs attention.
I am new to this blogging thing but I am going to be blogging on personal style, hair care and styles, and inner beauty on a regular. I hope whomever comes across my blogs will enjoy them and if needed contact me so that I can help with a new transformed image!
